Liu Wai-tang: The Art of Escape in Poetry – New Changes in the Poetry of Young and Middle-aged Hong Kong People @ OCT-LOFT – Nanshan

Poems must come from the world, and for some reasons, they may escape from the world and find freedom that is nowhere to be found. In the bustling Hong Kong, poetry has its own face. Sometimes it goes against Hong Kong society, and sometimes it harmonizes with it in the dark. The technique of poetry is to create different “traces” so as to gain its own life.
The famous poet Liao Weitang was born in Zhuhai and was the first batch of new immigrants to Hong Kong in 1997. At 8 pm on November 17 (Friday) , Mr. Liao Weitang will visit Enclave Bookstore (OCT Store) . He will use his years of observation and Thinking, let everyone understand the new changes in the poetry of the young and middle-aged generations in Hong Kong.
