@bianca_oblivion has been a hometown superstar for years, beloved in Los Angeles for her riotous sets that span the full range of diasporic rave music—baile funk, dancehall, reggaeton—alongside dubstep and techno, roiling hardcore and a seemingly endless pile of hip-hop flips. Only more recently, though, has the rest of the world caught up. Because while her anything-goes style hasn’t always been du jour, she’s stuck at it relentlessly, earning a reputation as a deeply curious DJ who combines a love of sounds from the UK and the Global South with decades of dance floor experience. “I want it to be seamless,” she said. “But also, holy shit—we’re on two different continents now. How’d that happen?”
