11.11 is a day celebrated in some Asian countries such as China, Korea and Japan with different meanings. It represents four ones, or four singles, standing together. The name literally translates as “single sticks holiday”.
The 11.11 Singles Day Shopping Festival was created by Chinese e-commerce giant Alibaba in 2009 as a special day for young people to celebrate their singledom. And since then, it’s now the world’s largest online shopping festival, celebrating different sale events.
