THIS WEEK: SEPTEMBER 10-16

This weeks schedule is packed as usual again, and we start this week with the opening week of the NFL, with a reprise of last Super Bowl on Thursday morning and the 49ers vs the Rams live from Melbourne, Australia on Friday morning! Our usual opening times on weekdays would be 11am, though we can open early if there’s enough interest. Contact us for more information!

The AFL is at the Semi Final stage (which really is more a quarter final…) where Fremantle gets one more chance vs Geelong on Friday evening; and the Lions will host the Crows on Saturday to decide who will meet the Swans and Hawks respectively next week.

The NRL is in its first Finals Week, starting Friday with the Rabbitohs hosting the Knights. Saturday’s early game will see the Warriors take on the Dolphins; and at 6pm the Cowboys visit the Sharks. Finally on Sunday, top of the ladder Panthers will host the Roosters. Who will end up going to the Semis, who is going to the Prelims; and who are the unfortunate two going home? 

In football we’ll see a late start in the Premier League with five 10pm games on Saturday evening. With Liverpool vs Fulham on our main screens and Chelsea vs Hull City on our other screens. Sunday morning early Arsenal is visiting Sunderland, which we’ll be replaying Sunday afternoon and in the evening at 11:30pm it is time for the Manchester derby when City is visiting Old Trafford, and finally the weekend will be completed by Leeds who are hosting Newcastle Monday night!

Formula One will land in Spain this week and I will not make any predictions anymore after last weekend, where I was completely wrong with Antonelli winning the race from the back of the grid… New chances in Madrid this weekend, where Verstappen seems to have found his pace; Ferrari seems to be struggling with two drivers that cannot seem to work together; and Mercedes still dominating the grid. 

Another day of Rugby Union test matches on Saturday, with the final match of the Springboks vs All Blacks in Rugby’s Greatest Rivalry. We’ll be showing the game on our second floor with commentary while the football and live music are on downstairs.

The Octagon returns with a very early Fight Night. A great card with lots of familiar names! Dan Ige, Curtis Blaydes, Waldo Cortes-Acosta, Alexa Grasso, Brandon Moreno; and of course the headliner between Jean Silva and Jose Delgado. As it’s a nightly event, we will show a full replay when we open at 10am on Sunday morning!

In between we’ll try to show as much as possible of the MotoGP from San Marino; Golf from the Irish Open; NFL highlights of Week 1; Tennis from the US Open; and Cycling from the Vuelta a Espana…
