WITHDRAWALS vol.5: AXIS

“Withdrawal Response WITHDRAWALS” is a new project of OIL that started in May. It starts out as a participant in a club scene and is a collection of current reality and emotion.
Over the past few months, due to various practical reasons including the epidemic, club scenes across the country have been more or less affected, and the most direct manifestation is that clubs have been forced to shut down. In the days of being forced to isolate ourselves, each of us has entered a state of physical and mental “withdrawal”, accompanied by feelings of helplessness, anxiety and confusion. We can “quit” many things, but our music should not be “quit”, nor should we be self-enclosed, “quit” with happiness.
The fifth play of “Withdrawal Response WITHDRAWALS” is AXIS, which was established in 2019 from Chengdu, a nightlife center in the southwest region, and has rapidly developed into a new landmark of local underground electronic music clubs.

talented musicians and artists that can communicate with the world.
In 2019, he founded the electronic music club “AXIS*”, dedicated to developing the local youth cultural
community. In just half a year, AXIS has gradually become a new spot in the domestic underground
electronic music club scene.

Warmchainss
Warmchainss, a DJ and electronic music editor at the core of Shenzhen’s underground music scene, is a contradictory body between cold and warm. She is good at using world music as material in DJ sets and creating her unique sad and gentle feelings on the dance floor of clubs. Coupled with the emotion of anger, it gives an indescribable feeling. She has produced Mixtape for the collaborative art project [ SZSZSZSZSZSZ ] of 1.1 Gallery in Switzerland. In 2019, she appeared on the stage of BOILER ROOM Shenzhen with NAFFI’s LAO, Nick Hook and other artists, and also carried out the Hong Kong Community Radio. New radio item (B2B only): Speed Sick!. In the same year, together with Tygapaw, Subez, Yeti, etc., he was invited by Shanghai-based LGBTQI+ organization NVSHU to hold a symposium, DJ workshop and radio program at Art Basel Week in Hong Kong. The work experience in the electronic music club also gave her a very broad musical vision, absorbing musical energy from all over the world, forming her unique style.
Warmchainss is a conflation of soft melodies and relentless rhythms. Using music from all around the world, her dj set is full of sadness and anger. Having already shared stages with well-known artists such as Murlo, Mina, Mala, Jesse Osborne-Lanthier , Physical Therapy, Schwefelgelb (Asian Dope Boys) , Dis Fig, King Doudou, Toxe, Fractal Fantasy, Rabit, Ledef, DJ Paypal and Yousuke Yukimatsu and so on, she has also made guest appearances for Swiss 1.1 Gallery and Art Basel Week in Hong Kong. In 2019, she played Boiler Room Shenzhen alongside Lao (NAFFI) and others as well as becoming a new resident at Hong Kong Community Radio presenting the b2b only show ‘Speed Sick! ‘.
