Unchained 6 Year Anniversary

Founded in 2016, UNCHAINED is one of the splendid footnotes left in Shenzhen in that summer full of enthusiasm and vitality, but they continued the passion of that summer for a full six years.
In the past six years, they have brought countless Bass music artists from all over the world to Shenzhen through one after another of high-quality activities and became the guests of the UNCHAINED series of parties: such as British dance music pioneer DJ Zinc, forward-looking bass musician dBridge , Liquid Funk founder Fabio, the famous Hospital label manager London Electricity, talented producer Harikiri, Australian old urchin Royalston, DnB eldest sister Siesta active in Hong Kong, Macao and Taiwan…
Due to space limitations, it is impossible to introduce more famous international artists invited by UNCHAINED, but in addition, UNCHAINED is also sparing no effort to discover local DJs and expand the Drum N’ Bass community. The Drum N’ Bass music scene in Shenzhen and even the entire South China region has thus changed from a desert to an oasis.

3ASiC
3ASiC is a real force among electronic musicians and DJs, and is a musician recognized by musicians in the industry. When he was in the fifth grade of elementary school, he obtained the certificate of Computer Secondary (Visual Basic) as the youngest passer in the country, which is also the origin of his music world code name. He studied recording art and sound design in China and the Netherlands. His solid academic background has always made him obsessed and mastered with “sound” and “technology” beyond ordinary people. ” has been seen in improvised sound visual performances. Whether it is bass dance or ambient music, he still has room to travel in the world of electronic music. His super production strength has already been proven in various ways. He not only created the explosive gold song “Routine” with nearly 100 million broadcasts together with the rapper Jony J, but also won international famous such as Nick Hook and FiFi Rong. He is not only active in the local electronic music scene in China, performing in various music festivals and clubs in China, and has also been invited to perform at the European electronic music event ADE (Amsterdam Dance Event). Kay C
2020 marks the seventeenth year of Kay C’s Drum ‘n’ Bass DJ career. In 2003, Kay C joined the Drum ‘n’ Bass bass brand Phreaktion in Hong Kong, and later established the only Drum n’ Bass team Magnetic Soul in Hong Kong with his friends. An internationally renowned Drum ‘n’ Bass producer/DJ will be the warm-up DJ. In October 2019, he will perform on the same stage with London Elektricity, one of the founders of the long-established Drum ‘n’ Bass label Hospital Record. In 2006 Magnetic Soul was invited to Bangkok by the Thai bass group Bass Communication, and Kay C was one of the guest DJs. In 2007, Kay C was elected to the Red Bull Conservatory of Music of the year and was sent to Toronto as a student. He was the second Hong Kong person in history to be selected. Kay C moved to Beijing in 2007 and joined The Syndicate, a Beijing bass group, for 13 years. Active in the monthly Bai Cai & Syndicate party. Kay C has also performed in several Beijing music festivals, including Strawberry Music Festival, MIDI Music Festival, Tianjin Aircraft Carrier Party, Great Wall Music Festival, and the famous INTRO Music Festival. At present, he is a key member of Syndicate, and now Beijing holds a monthly regular basis, the hottest bass event in the city – Syndicate Sessions can definitely see Kay C’s figure. Kay C’s quick mixes and different styles of Drum n’ Bass are his characteristics, and he is also a major Drum n’ Bass element in Asia. In 2019, Kay C established China’s first 100% Drum n’ Bass radio program: Sub Low Frequency Resonance, providing a platform for bass music fans to understand bass music. The program is played more than 20,000 times per episode on average, and the content is the latest bass music, shared with domestic bass lovers. Kay C is an integral part of Asian Drum ‘n Bass culture.
Radiax
It is definitely inappropriate to describe Radiax as “up-and-coming”. This DJ/producer who has been in the Drum&Bass field for more than ten years can be described as a pioneer in domestic DnB. Quoting a general comment from the domestic Drum & Bass cultural promoter “Dian Banya”, he is known as “a little-known Chinese bass treasure”. His first Drum & Bass vinyl “Beijing Banger” in China released by Unchained in 2019 was recommended by DJ Mag with a score of 9.4. Hospital Records’ legendary Danny Byrd dubbed it “banger of the month” on BBC 1Xtra. This ep also received likes from heavyweight musicians such as My Nu Leng, Sub Focus, 12th Planet, El Hornet (Pendulum). Soon Radiax struck while the iron was hot again, and was selected by London Electricity, the boss of Hospital Records, the most influential Drum&Bass label in the world, to participate in the annual release of “Sick Music 2020” by Hospital Records, appearing in the same frame as Nu:Tone, SPY, Keeno and other generals, also in China The first musician to be released at Hospital. In addition, Radiax has also collaborated with many singers/rappers such as Zhou Xun, Zhang Jie, He Jie, Xiao Qinglong, etc. Its music is also played in Adidas flagship stores around the world, and the mix of multiple genres also makes its works full of surprises.
Foambb
The director of Shenzhen electronic music party organization D1SG0V3RNMENT, one of the local resident DJs of Unchained, the founder of the South China drum and bass community. His early career as a commercial DJ gave Foambb a full control of the scene and unique insights into party music, whether he was performing on the stage of large-scale music festivals, club performances, or dancing parties in the underground music scene. In reality, he wants to let more people have access to better electronic music, and put his passion into promoting electronic music. After a period of performance tempering and digging for good music, he also has a deeper understanding of electronic music. He has always used Keep it Real & Fxxk the Fakeshit as his personal slogan. At the moment when he faced commercial EDM and hypocritical bass music dominating the mainstream electronic music market, he gradually rebelled and resolutely chose to oppose the mainstream. At the end of 2018, he founded the electronic music party organization D1SG0V3RNMENT with several like-minded friends, and the underground music scene has become a new stage for him to display his skills. Afterwards, he continued to appear in excellent underground clubs and online live radio stations such as Oil Club, Vinyl House, Yaodi, Hangover, The Window, Loopy, DadaKunming, Far Radio and so on. The domestic and foreign artists who have served as Support DJs and cooperated with him include: Daniel Power, Makoto, Chimpo, 3ASiC, Radiax, Kay C, Jane Siesta, Fractale, MC JADO, OSHI, Resinate, Rous, Budball, HARIKIRI, etc… and Join Shenzhen DNB party organization Unchained Asia in 2020. Ravenface86
Crow Face aka86, from South China “Desert of Atmosphere” – Shenzhen. Clothing brand/activity label – the behind-the-scenes boss of Asian Beetle, an artist under the Asian bass label Unchained, and the co-founder of D1SG0V3RNMENT. The strong anti-bone breath prompts him to explore more unknown sound fields. His early research on Gabber/Hardcore Dance has attracted the attention of the famous Dutch Hardcore label “Footworxx” and the German producer group Riot Shift. Later, due to dissatisfaction with the existing mainstream bass scene in China, he devoted himself to exploring more and better bass music under the name of Ravenface86. During the 19 years, starting from southern China and along the coast to East China, he organized 20+ events, started 8 cities, and started 20 underground music scenes. Among the more successful party deployments are Oil, Loopy, Axis, Ooze, Tag, Hangover, Yaodi, The Window, Deep Roll, 61Nanking, DADA KUNMING, DADA BEIJING. During the toughest time of 2020, he joined Unchained, an Asian underground bass organization, in order to spread better bass music to the masses. Of course, this major project was done with the legendary bass group Syndicate from Beijing, Sweatshopdnb/Wonky Kong from Shanghai/Hong Kong, and Ecstaticbass from Macau. At the same time, he himself is also fighting against the “ugly” “Bass” market in Shenzhen.
Daniel Power
UNCHAINED co-founder Daniel Power is the number one party organizer for the DnB scene in South China in recent years, realizing the booming development of the Bass music scene in South China over the years. From regularly inviting many internationally renowned musicians to China to tour every month, and frequently presenting a magnificent bass scene, to co-founding the Unchained record label with Lyndon Jarr in 2018, Daniel Power has completely reversed it in just a few years. Shenzhen’s DnB music scene. Once the music director and resident DJ of Shenzhen Top 100 Club Sector, he is now one of the most frequent organizers and musicians of Shenzhen Pioneer Club OIL.
