The memories of Jiangnan

The exhibition is distinctly segmented into five thematic units: “The Four Masters of Wu School Art,” “Exquisite Elegance of Calligraphy,” “Legacy of the Wen Families,” “Splendor of Diverse Calligraphy Styles,” and “Transcending Tradition: Dong Qichang and the Evolution of Wu School Art.” Showcased within these sections are 66 meticulously curated pieces of paintings and calligraphy, along with 20 significant literati artifacts.

Spanning five centuries from contemporary times, the exhibition offers a deeply cultural and artistic lens for understanding literati painting and the cultural geography of Jiangnan. It further elucidates the esteemed elegance currently admired within these artistic traditions, inviting you to journey through time to appreciate the vibrant lineage of these artistic expressions.
