Shenzhen Stories presents: The Comeback

Oh boy. This is it everyone. Covid has sidelined this event for too long. We are back with an all new storytelling event.
Shenzhen Stories is a live storytelling event that focuses on the small, micro-moments of our lives and shows us that we have more that brings us together than separates us. Each month there is a theme and we ask people from all over the world who have found themselves in Shenzhen to come and tell stories (that’s where we got the name!). These stories range from the bizarre to the mundane, to the romantic, to the heartbreaking and everywhere in between. The only thing these stories consistently are is true. They happen to our neighbors, the people we share commutes with, the people we pass on the street but would never know they have gone through what we also have. It’s an amazing reflection of the complexity and beauty of this international community we live in.
This month’s theme is the THE COMEBACK. The themes are widely interpreted so you will hear about literal comebacks, that time someone was the comeback kid, or something or someone came back to them. We have an amazing roster of storytellers lined up so please come join un on Friday, August 5th @ 730 at Lazy Laowai in Shekou to hear them and maybe, JUST MAYBE, you might put your name in the hat and tell one yourself.
