Band Introduction
Release Jazz Band was established in 2017. The members of the band are all from Xinghai Conservatory of Music. The band is guided by Yu Zhenhai, head of the Dimension Jazz Big Band.
In 2018, he began to participate in the national tour and performed in major cities such as Xiamen, Kunming, Zhengzhou, Shenzhen, Nanjing, Wuxi, Ningbo, and Beijing. The band is good at Swing, Bebop, Hardbop, Funk, Bossa, Latin and other styles.

Musician Introduction
Sax: Huang Zhengwei
Graduated from Guangzhou University Conservatory of Music. The saxophone is taught by Zhang Wenbiao, a famous jazz saxophonist in Guangzhou, and Yu Zhenhai, the head of the Dimension Jazz Orchestra. Since 2017, he has been the tenor saxophonist of the Guangzhou Dimension Jazz Orchestra. In 2018, he participated in the Guangzhou Jazz Festival with the GSO Jazz Orchestra. During his studies, he was mentored by Lu Tingquan, David Pope, Jared Sims, Scott Turpen, Nathan Bogert, Passakorn Morasilpin, and Patrick Bianco. Currently the captain of the Release Jazz Band, the band began to participate in the national tour in 2018, and performed in major cities such as Xiamen, Shenzhen, Nanjing, Chongqing, Xi’an, and Beijing. Join the Aggregation Band in 2021. Currently studying at Mahidol Conservatory of Music, he studies saxophone with Krit Buranavitayawut, and jazz music theory with Darin Pantoomkomol and Kom Wongsawat.

“If one day the end of the world is approaching, I hope I can still sing on stage.” She has learned traditional folk singing since she was a child, and she also studied opera singing in college. She has more than just love for music. By chance, she developed a strong feeling for jazz, and since then, she has learned jazz saxophone performance from teacher Yu Zhenhai from Xinghai Conservatory of Music. Because of her learning experience in various musical styles, she can always respond and interact appropriately through listening and feeling during the performance, and integrate the jazz stage into it like an opera.
Bass: Zhang Bozun
Xinghai Conservatory of Music, School of Modern Music and Drama, majoring in jazz bass. He studied double bass and electric bass with bass player Wang Xiaoyu, and worked as a bass player in the Guangzhou Youth Palace Jazz Orchestra under the guidance of saxophonist Yu Zhenhai. In 2017, he was admitted to the Xinghai Conservatory of Music with the first place in the bass major, and studied electric bass performance with the bass player Yu Jiahui.
Piano: Zuo Liang
Graduated from Xinghai Conservatory of Music in the 17th Modern Conservatory of Music and School of Drama, majoring in jazz piano, under the tutelage of Professor Lin Chang, young jazz pianist Deng Yameng, and under the guidance of the famous jazz pianist Franz Von chossy, participated in many large-scale performances, and in 2019 During the National Day, he participated in the National Day Art Festival of Huangpu District Science City as the keyboard player of the jazz band Al Fresco, and participated in the special performance of JZ CLUB as the keyboard player of Al Fresco. .
Drums: Mak Ka Shing
He studied jazz performance under the tutelage of Mr. Miao Yu from Xinghai Academy of Modern Music and Drama, and then studied jazz performance with Mr. Li Haoxin of the Dimension Jazz Orchestra, and ensemble with Mr. Yu Zhenhai, the head of the Dimension Jazz Orchestra. Played as a hand in the Release jazz band, and performed on the same stage with many famous Guangzhou jazz masters. He has rich performance experience. He has performed in Xinghai Concert Hall, Jazz Zhou, Panyu Music Palace, Xiamen University, Xiamen Real live house, as well as performances in Zhengzhou Juemei and other places.
Tenor Sax: Li Minlong
Member of Guangdong Modern Music Association, saxophone teacher of Guangzhou Municipal Cultural Palace, and saxophone teacher of Perth Music. He has been studying jazz saxophone with Mr. Yu Zhenhai, a saxophone teacher in the Modern Music Department of Xinghai Conservatory of Music. In 2013, he participated in the national competition held by the Saxophone Society of the China Mass Music Association and won the fourth place in the professional pop group. In 2016, he joined the only jazz ensemble in Guangzhou: Dimension Jazz Orchestra. Participated in Dimension Jazz Orchestra “Who Can Take Your Place? “Arrangement and performance of Leslie Cheung’s special concert.
Baritone Sax: Long Guoteng
Xinghai Conservatory of Music Department of Modern Music majoring in saxophone, under the tutelage of jazz performer, Professor Yu Zhenhai of Dimension Jazz Orchestra, Professor Peng Xiaobo and Professor Lin Chang of the Department of Modern Music of Xinghai Conservatory of Music, and was educated by Casey Scheuerell , Kurt Biederwolf, Don Gorder and many other Berkeley world-renowned professors.
He is the baritone saxophone of the Xinghai Jazz Band, a member of the Guangdong Modern Music Society, the jazz bigband of the Guangzhou Cultural Palace, the third band of the Weiwei Jazz Orchestra, and the tenor baritone saxophone. He has many years of experience. Performing experience Participated in the Jazz Night of the Good Night Guangzhou Program, representing Guangzhou Perth Music Company and Shanghai, Hong Kong, Shenzhen, etc. Perth Music Company Art Exchange Shamian Cultural Palace Planning Shamian National Day Concert Invited to participate in Xinghai Music The Academy’s 60th Anniversary Music Gala participated in the special performance of the Xinghai Conservatory of Music at the 2017 Guangzhou Jazz Festival.
Guitar: Li Xi
A young jazz guitarist, he graduated from Xinghai Conservatory of Music with a major in jazz guitar and studied under the famous Guangzhou guitarist Cai Jian. Learn jazz theory, professional performance, ensemble, and jazz composition and arrangement. Learn jazz piano with Franz von chossy, jazz big band guitarist, often participate in recording, jazz Live, good at Jazz, Funk, Pop, and other styles. With outstanding performance in school, he won the first prize and second prize in the harmony instrument group of the 2020 “Xinghai Cup” Jazz Instrumental Competition. In 2021, he will participate in the recording of the original bigband album by Professor Lin Chang from the School of Modern Music and Drama of the Xinghai Conservatory of Music.
