Rejuvenate – The Langham, Shenzhen Celebrates 11th Anniversary – Futian

(Shenzhen, October 2023) Since the summer of 1865 in London, The Langham has stood the test of time with honour and grace, leaving a mark in history with its signature pink. Continuing the legacy of the brand, since opening its doors in the vibrant city of Shenzhen in 2012, The Langham, Shenzhen has been delivering the same meticulous hospitality and luxury that has indulged guests for more than 158 years. This year, 2023, marks the 11th anniversary of The Langham, Shenzhen and the hotel has prepared a series of activities and events, including classic British afternoon tea, a Paddington Bear-themed experience, and surprise blind boxes, to celebrate this important milestone with everyone.
Heritage – Legendary British Afternoon Tea
The Langham, London’s Palm Court started serving classic British afternoon tea in 1865. Today, the Palm Courts of all The Langham hotels around the world are continuing this fine tradition. The Langham, Shenzhen’s Executive Pastry Chef Hu Gaojie went to The Langham, London in May 2023 to learn from Executive Pastry Chef Andrew Gravett the origin and history of British afternoon tea, as well as the spirit of different recipes and their production processes. Now, he is bringing back all that he learnt from London to Shenzhen to give guests a taste of The Langham’s legendary British afternoon tea.
Rejuvenate – Lovely Holiday with Paddington Bear
As part of a special collaboration with Paddington Bear, The Langham, Shenzhen is introducing a range of Paddington Bear merchandise and guest rooms that will bring joy and laughter to families. Besides Paddington Bear gifts, including a Paddington plush, a Fine Bone China mug, porcelain diner set, a children’s raincoat in pink, to children’s drawstring backpack, alongside a themed setup in the hotel’s luxurious rooms featuring Paddington pillowcases, bed runners, cushion covers, tepee tents, children’s bathrobes, and slippers. This merchandise will bring guests into the wonderful world of Paddington Bear.
In addition, the hotel’s culinary team has drawn inspirations from Paddington Bear to create a special Paddington Bear afternoon tea that will certainly delight.
Reinvigorate – Special 11th Anniversary Promotions
The Langham, Shenzhen’s WeChat official account has made available a series of anniversary promotions and privileges in its WeChat Mall. These include a limited surprise blind box that gives guests a chance to get an all-week dinner buffet for one at Silk at the price of just CNY11; a special restaurant indulgence voucher, priced at CNY 168, that allows guests to choose any one of half a Peking duck at T’ang Court, weekday lunch buffer for one at Silk, happy hours for two at Perch, or a two-pound birthday cake at Treasures & Scent; and a CNY 999 Pink Package that contains multiple restaurant vouchers. As part of the anniversary celebration, guests will also be presented with special gift vouchers by buying Langham Debit Cards.
