Outside school, he studied jazz theory and jazz performance with teacher Yang Ming, a trombonist and composer, and studied jazz theory, double bass performance and jazz performance with teacher Wu Wenjun, a jazz bassist and composer living in Boston, USA. Participated in the recording of the albums “Beijing Pain Coastline-Metropolitan Orchestra”, “Good Things ‘She’ Right, Winter Li Xurui”.
Musicians who have had the honor of collaborating include Yang Ming, Tian Tian, Rice, Bao Junrui, Li Langxi, Lin Zecheng, Joe Longardner, Takeshi Sakamoto, Sousell, etc.
While in school, he led the Childish Food band and was invited to participate in the first Silk Road International Music Festival to perform on the same stage with Cui Jian and the Tang Dynasty band. And performed in livehouses all over Beijing.
At the same time, as a new generation of post-00s jazz musicians, he is communicating, cooperating and learning with musicians and artists of various styles.
After returning to Shenzhen, he founded SZ Jazz Collective with jazz drummer Li Liang to help improve the local jazz environment in Shenzhen and promote the development of local jazz.
Ariel was born in Cuba and graduated from Domenech University.
