Wild Cooperative was established in Nanjing in 2012. The band currently has vocalist Wang Haiyang, guitarist Xu Tianheng, bassist Jiang Jinzhao, drummer Dong Yu, and keyboardist Gao Dezu.
From “Wild Cooperative”, “Typhoon” to Homeless , from blues rock, classical psychedelic to instrumental rock that combines elements of world music and electronic music, their music always contains huge and quiet energy, and they are always in reality. Looking for the meaning of my existence in the fog.
For a long time, Wilderness Cooperative has never framed itself in any system, nor has it been limited to Chinese expressions that are widely loved by music fans. They have always been exploring, trekking, changing, and taking risks. There is no restricted area for the expression of wild cooperatives. It is every possibility you see that makes them what they are at this time.
About “The Original Universe”
The home is the original universe, and the original universe is the expression of the true interpretation of the outdoor cooperative. “The home is our corner of the world, our original universe.” With it, many of our memories have settled down. It is like a refuge, ensuring the stability of our existence. Jia Zhai becomes a real existence with pure humanity in resisting this increasingly savage beast.
When you are in a home, the value is always hard to find just because you are in it. Being confined to one place is never the norm for survival. When we are forced to move out of our homes, we stand in the vastness and unknown, in the space stripped away from the original universe. It seems that we have fallen into Homeless and lost our shelter, but in fact, there are pathways in all directions, and they are all the way back. At this time, the irreturnable becomes returnable, and this returnableness gives the original universe of “home” a more conclusive meaning, and creates a more vast “original universe.” Therefore, Homeless lays out a warmer undertone.
When Homeless becomes a broader Home, you don’t really get home until you leave home.
With the theme of “Original Universe”, the Wild Cooperative has already met with everyone in 11 cities across the country in 2023. They juxtaposed “Typhoon” with Homeless and built this unique sound field with the audience .
In 2024, the outdoor cooperative will continue to use the name “Original Universe” to step out of the shelter of the psychedelic rock house and go to the center of the storm again, placing itself in Homeless, re-encircling an original universe in the Live House, and exploring more profound and diverse musical expression. They will use vocal instrumental music to play the ballads from the just-released new album Homeless , and start a new round of national tour to enrich the weight of “home”.
