Synopsis:

1939. Europe teeters on the brink of war. Ten strangers are invited to Soldier Island, an isolated rock near the Devon coast. Cut off from the mainland, with their generous hosts Mr and Mrs U.N. Owen mysteriously absent, they are each accused of a terrible crime. When one of the party dies suddenly they realise they may be harbouring a murderer among their number.

Then, death happens one after another. Since they are all alone on this island, who will be the killer?

Clarissa Christie

Dame Agatha Mary Clarissa Christie, Lady Mallowan, DBE was an English writer known for her 66 detective novels and 14 short story collections, particularly those revolving around fictional detectives Hercule Poirot and Miss Marple.

In 1955, Christie was the first recipient of the Mystery Writers of America’s Grand Master Award. Later that year, Witness for the Prosecution received an Edgar Award for best play. In 1971, she was made a Dame (DBE) for her contributions to literature. Guinness World Records lists Christie as the best-selling fiction writer of all time, her novels having sold more than two billion copies. In 2013, she was voted the best crime writer and The Murder of Roger Ackroyd the best crime novel ever by 600 professional novelists of the Crime Writers’ Association.

Jeffery Kissoon is an award winning actor, director and drama teacher who has worked extensively in British theatre, television, film and radio. He has performed with the Royal Shakespeare Company at venues such as the Royal National Theatre, under leading directors such as Peter Brook, Peter Hall, Trevor Nunn, Nicholas Hytner, Robert Lapage, Calixto Bieto and Janet Suzman. He trained at Canley College, Warwick University and began his acting career playing “Malcolm” in Peter Coe’s production of “The Black Macbeth at the Roundhouse Theatre, London. 

In theatres, he has acted in genres from Shakespeare to modern theatre. Emily Caroline Brent, Katy Stephens

British Actress.

Katy Stephens has appeared in leading roles with Shakespeare’s Globe and the Royal Shakespeare Company with whom she is an Associate Artist. Stephens’ awards include the WhatsOnStage Award for Best Actress in 2009 for her performance as Joan of Arc/Margaret of Anjou in the RSC’s The Histories Cycle as well as being part of the team that won the Olivier Award for Best Ensemble Performance for the same show.

Stephens’ work with the Royal Shakespeare Company includes Rosalind in As You Like It, Tamora in Titus Andronicus, Cleopatra in Antony and Cleopatra, Regan in King Lear, Petruchio in Taming of the Shrew, Sarah in Mark Ravenhill’s Candide, Katy in Silence, a co-production with Filter Theatre, and Joan of Arc/Margaret of Anjou in Sir Michael Boyd’s Histories Cycle.

Work for Shakespeare’s Globe includes Clytemnestra in The Oresteia, Calpurnia in Julius Caesar and Iras in Antony and Cleopatra, Much Ado About Nothing, and The Tempest.
