Jazz musicians now has more concentrated and exploratory spirits. In a performance that represents a mutual musical faith, improvisation can act as a flag-post, to converse your different ideas with different musicians, and bravely express yourself. Summer is coming, the only Jam sessions this month, improvisations and conversations, we will always be open to them. ———— Host Kam Yu Ng Studied at Midi Music Academy and Beijing Contemporary Music Conservatory, taught by famous Chinese drummer Song Liang. Enrolled into Los Angeles Music Academy and The Collective School of Music in New York respectively. Before his graduation in 2012, he was taught Contemporary Jazz and Post Bop systematically by Professor Ian Froman. He then was guided by Sea Conly, Joe Fitzgerald, Marko Djordjevic studying Odd Meter and Walking Time Feel courses. Since his return to China, he has been promoting Jazz education, working on multiple music festivals and pop music album recordings. ———— OPEN JAM 21:00-21:30 Host and players communicate to form a band 21:30-23:00 Beginning of the Jam 23:00-23:00 Summary and afterparty ———— OPEN JAM Notes 1. Please respect the musicians and the venue 2. Only accept bookings, please add our official WeChat to notify us with your participation. Please provide: Your name/Instrument/Style. Every musician will have at least one piece to jam, it should be within the genres of: Jazz, Funk, Soul, Blues, Gospel etc. 4. Please bring your own instrument as we only have drum sets and keyboard available at the venue. 5. OPEN JAM starts at 21:00 please arrive at the venue in a timely fashion. 6.
