November Silent Book Club

The next Silent Book Club will be held on Saturday November 15th at Desert Rose Coffee in OCT!

The event is free, so please buy some food and drinks to support the establishment so we can keep hosting events like these!

What is Silent Book Club?

At Silent Book Club, there’s no assigned reading. All readers are welcome—ebooks, audiobooks, textbooks, comic books… it’s BYOBook. Our events are free and support local businesses. Friends and strangers gather at a set time and location, order food or drinks, share what they’re reading, and settle in for an hour or so of sustained silent reading. At the end of the hour, attendees can socialize—or not!

A typical silent book club includes around 30 minutes of welcoming and getting settled, 45 mins-1 hour of silent reading time, and then time at the end to hang out, socialize, or keep reading!

You’ll get a healthy dose of socializing and getting to be anti-social. We all need that kind of balance in life.
