Shenzhen Summer Program is officially open for registration!
Program Background
“Meet the World Around” Shenzhen Summer Program is jointly organized by the Shenzhen People’s Association for Friendship with Foreign Countries, Shenzhen Universiade International Scholarship Foundation, and Shenzhen Foundation for International Exchange and Cooperation.
The program will invite local and international young students in Shenzhen, aiming to enhance the understanding of outstanding young people from home and abroad about the Greater Bay Area and Shenzhen, promote cultural interaction and exchange between China and foreign countries, and showcase Shenzhen’s inclusive and innovative image. During the program, you will have the opportunity to meet partners from various countries, explore cutting-edge technology companies, and experience Shenzhen’s unique customs and traditions.
Program Time
August 13, 2023 – August 22, 2023
(10 days in total)
Participants
A total of 20 young students, including 16 international students in Shenzhen (students with undergraduate, master’s, and doctoral degrees from any nationality or region are welcome) and 4 Chinese Buddies.
Tips: the 16 international students in Shenzhen will be randomly divided into 4 groups, with 1 Shenzhen youth serving as a Buddy in each group. This method helps promote friendly exchanges between Chinese and foreign young people and demonstrates the responsibility and commitment of Shenzhen’s youth.

You can visit multiple companies in Shenzhen and have face-to-face exchanges with industry leaders, experts, and scholars on the internet, big data, new energy, etc.

You can appreciate Shenzhen’s historical and cultural landscapes, experience its unique customs, and explore biodiversity and sustainable development.

You can engage in interactive activities with locals, experience their daily lives, and enjoy the scenery of mountains and sea.
Activity Tips: During visiting and experiencing the process, participants must complete an “Exchange Journal” to record their gains and experiences in the form of pictures, texts, videos, etc. The hosts have also prepared limited and customized souvenirs!

How to register
Intending participants need to scan the QR code below to download the registration form and complete it.
Then, name the email “Shenzhen Summer Program + Name” or “Buddy + Name” and send it to the official email of Shenzhen Foundation for International Exchange and Cooperation: [email protected];
Interview
The hosts will select the applicants based on the application form. Intending participants who pass the initial screening will be invited for an interview. The hosts will contact the final selected participants through phone or email;

Expenses: The 20 selected students are responsible for their own transportation expenses to and from Shenzhen and insurance expenses while in Shenzhen. The hosts will arrange the remaining activity and accommodation expenses;
Participants must possess valid identification documents and comply with the relevant regulations and activity arrangements of the program;
Participants who are successfully selected are deemed to agree to cooperate with the hosts in shooting during the event. The hosts can use the shooting works of the event to publicize and report the series of activities for free during and after the event, which does not constitute an infringement of the participant’s portrait rights and other rights.
After successful registration, if a participant is unable to attend the activity due to special reasons, please send an email to the official email of Shenzhen Foundation for International Exchange and Cooperation ([email protected]) 10 days before the start of the activity, explaining the reason.
