《A Historical Story of a Jam Session》

 

On a summer night in 1952, Norman Granz gathered some of the greatest jazz musicians of their generation for a recording session at Radio Recorders in Hollywood, California . Granz’s idea was to have the assembled musicians jam and see what happened. For the Radio Recorders owner , this was his favorite form of jazz : a jam session.

 

The members who participated in the “session” are all very outstanding , including trumpeter Charlie Shavers, three of the most famous alto saxophone players of all time : Benny Carter, Johnny Hodges , Charlie Parker, two tenor giants of Flip Phillips, and Ben Webster, pianist Oscar Peterson, guitarist Barney Kessel, bass giant Ray Brown and drummer JC Heard . The miracle status established by this album will allow listeners to hear that blues and jazz are in the pockets of musicians , so “casual” and “weighty”.

 

 

To Jam is to Improvise Music

 

Musicians must make music, artists must paint, poets must write, to finally be at peace with themselves. And jazz is like a heartbeat, its heartbeat binds to your heartbeat, and when you merge with it, it tells me your point of view

 

Improvisations are like a clash of archetypes. A scene that celebrates the mainstream values of jazz, where nothing can stop you from sharing your voice

1. JAM SESSION 是音乐家的即兴交流日，是一场非正式的表演。我们非常重视这样一个交流开放日的良好氛围，请为台上的所有音乐家鼓掌。您的支持一定会让音乐向前发展。
2. 为了表达对台上音乐家的尊重，请不要大声喧哗，并将手机设置为静音或振动模式。如果您需要拍照或录像，请关闭闪光灯。
3. 请在 9 点之前进入会场。请勿将任何外来食物和饮料带入场馆。

深圳大学主修流行器乐。目前活跃于深圳爵士乐坛，拥有自己的原创作品。他的风格跨越爵士、放克、融合、R&B、灵魂和流行，探索他自己独特的和声和节奏语言。

 

 

贝斯 宋少伟

 

深圳大学 晋中音乐学院 音乐表演系 贝斯专业学生。在学校师从贝斯手王旭波学习贝斯、即兴演奏和合奏。目前活跃于深圳的各种爵士乐现场表演和 Jam Session 活动，并与深圳爵士音乐家交流和学习。参加“Ray trio”爵士音乐会和“张特嘉 • Dreaming for You Live”MPK Livehouse 特别节目，参加“混响音乐节”HOU LIVE;2023年参加“施坦威艺术奖学金”专业展并获得“施坦威奖学金”，2023年获得深圳打击乐节大众器乐组冠军，2023年参加综艺节目《闪光创始人》，获得法国“Gabriel Fauré”国际音乐比赛爵士组一等奖

毕业于深圳大学音乐表演与流行器乐表演系，师从深圳市打击乐协会主席爵士鼓手詹明辉学习鼓，师从爵士乐演奏家王旭波学习爵士合奏。
