The nature of music tends to be more emotional than intellectual. Jazz has developed into a language that is at times intimate and at times wilderness, always layered with life and living. Defining jazz, no single interpretation is sufficient, because it arrives at the heart
Jazz truly emerges when every spontaneous phrase of jazz is created, when every inspirational motivation is often the result of interactive audience participation. You can think of jazz as a battle of the egos, it’s about facing the moonlit side of your emotions head on, and the so-called best textbook of jazz, that’s a mirror, a prism that shines inside you at all times
To jam is to improvise music
In December, there will be some amazing sessions where we see jazz musicians come together, communicate sensitively and fluently in the same language, even if they have never met before.
JAM, the first step to open the door to jazz. Impromptu and communicative, we keep an open heart.

Information for Musicians
1.We welcome musicians with a pure love for music. Musicians please add customer service (WeChat: 15302618010) to register. You need to provide the following information when registering: name + instrument + style + intended repertoire. We will assign the performing order according to the registration situation.
2.The style will revolve around Standard Jazz, Funk, R&B, Neo Soul and other related genres.
3.The venue is equipped with keyboard, double bass, and drums. Other instruments must be brought by the musicians.
Information for the Audience
1.JAM SESSION is an impromptu exchange event for musicians instead of a formal concert. We value the good atmosphere of such an open day. Please give all the musicians on stage applause and encouragement, your support will definitely make the music move forward.
2.In order to show respect for the musicians on stage, please do not make loud noises; Please turn your mobile phone to silent or vibrate mode the whole time; If you need to take photos or record videos, turn off the flash.
3.Please enter in advance before 9 o’clock, and please do not bring any food or drinks from outside into the venue.

Bass Chen Fangbiao
Chen Fangbiao graduated from Shenzhen University with a degree in popular instrumental music performance, under the tutelage of bassist Wang Xubo.
He participated in the recording of Huawei mobile phone launch conference in 2020, the Shanwei Pineapple Music Festival in 2020, the Starry Sky Campus Music Festival in 2021, the Sky City Music Festival in 2021, the Reverb Music Festival in 2021; In 2021, he held dozens of special concerts with the Big Coffee Beer Wind Orchestra throughout the Pearl River Delta.
Keyboard Xie Zifeng
Keyboardist, Music Producer
Majored in Pop Instrumental Performance at Shenzhen University. Currently active in the Shenzhen jazz scene, with his own original compositions. His style spans jazz, funk, fusion, R&B, soul and streaming, exploring his own unique language in harmony and rhythm.
Drums Liu Chang
Liu Chang graduated from at Shenzhen University with a degree in popular instrumental music performance.
She has studied drums since childhood, and has studied under the tutelage of jazz drum educator Zhan Minghui, president of Shenzhen Percussion Association.
