Henna art, also known as mehndi, is a form of body art that is traditionally applied to the hands and feet for weddings, festivals, and other special occasions.
海娜纹身，又称曼海蒂（Mehndi），是一种传统的身体艺术，一般画在四肢或脸上，常见于婚礼、节日和一些特殊的宗教场合。
The art of henna has a rich history and cultural significance. In many cultures, henna is considered a symbol of good luck, happiness, and fertility. The designs can range from simple geometric shapes to complex patterns with intricate details, and can also feature traditional cultural motifs and symbols.
海娜艺术有着丰富的历史和文化意义，在许多国家的文化中，海娜是好运、幸福和生育的象征。其图案设计可以从简单的几何形状到复杂的细节图案，也可以描绘传统的文化图案和符号。
Different henna patterns represent different meanings. For example, many flowers represent blessings of having many children. India’s national bird, the peacock, and national flower, the lotus, symbolize beauty and wealth. The blooming lotus symbolizes purity and strength in adversity. Birds represent ups and downs, butterflies represent new life, reptiles represent wisdom, and the sun, moon, and stars represent a love as vast as the sky.

The henna dye is derived from the leaves of the henna plant, which are dried, ground into a powder, and mixed with water and other natural ingredients to create a paste.

The paste is then applied to the skin using a cone or a brush, and left to dry for several hours. The longer the paste is left on, the darker the resulting stain will be. Henna stains typically last for one to three weeks, depending on the individual’s skin type and how often the area is washed.
