EAcham Fashion Business Trip to Explore China’s Largest Production Base of Women’s Shoes – Huidong

The 3rd phase of the Canton Fair will be held in Guangzhou from October 31st to November 4th. The exhibited products cover fashion, toys, home textiles, and more. In order to further promote exchanges and cooperation in women’s shoe industry between various countries, European American Chamber of Commerce and Industry will specially organize an international delegation to Explore China’s Largest Production Base of Women’s Shoe-Huidong on Nov.5th-6th for learning, inspection, and procurement. During the business trip, a series of business activities such Shoes Exhibition, Factories’ visit, Shoes Show will be arranged.

China’s Women’s Shoe Production Base – Huidong

Huidong is located in Huizhou City, Guangdong Province, adjacent to Hong Kong, Macau, Shenzhen Special Economic Zone, and CNOOC Shell Nanhai Petrochemical City. It belongs to the Pearl River Delta Economic Circle. Since the establishment of the first shoe factory in 1981, after more than 40 years of development, “Huidong Women’s Shoes” have become an important business card for industrial manufacturing in Huidong County. After ups and downs, there are now 5669 shoe and supporting industry production and operation units in Huidong County. In 2006, Huidong County was awarded the title of “China Women’s Shoe Production Base” by the China Light Industry Federation and the China Leather Association; In 2020 and 2021, it passed the certification of “Global Procurement Base (Huidong Women’s Shoes)” and “National Foreign Trade Transformation and Upgrading Base (Footwear)” respectively.

Huidong Shoes Company has been selected as a manufacturer by more than 60 well-known footwear brands at home and abroad, such as “Gucci”, “Hot Wind”, “Zara” and so on. In 2023, “Huidong Women’s Shoes” will produce 880 million pairs of shoes with a production value of 37.6 billion yuan, an increase of 9.6%. The export of women’s shoes accounts for 48.3% of the total export value of Huidong County, and the proportion of national shoe exports remains around 3%. There are 160000 employees in the footwear industry, which has become a golden signboard of traditional industries in Huidong County.
