Over 2,000 years ago, Greek philosophers such as Plato and Aristotle aided in making the study of communication a formal academic area of interest. However, humans have been communicating with one another since the dawn of time. How we relate to each other and work together to form communities is dependent on our very ability to communicate effectively. Because of this, there is much conflict that surrounds communication. Questions arise, such as, Why does communicating either fail or succeed? or What makes a good/bad communicator? and How does self-awareness impact communication? Let’s meet to discuss these various questions and your opinions on the complex nature of human communication.
