Pianist Wen Bochao graduated from Shenzhen University with a major in jazz piano performance. He studied under the famous Chinese jazz pianist Li Lin as the keyboard player of the TPS Quintet, a local jazz band in Shenzhen. During the five years of working in the industry, he has focused on jazz performance and creation, and has been active in major jazz and modern music stages.
Bassist Shao Xuan, a 2016 student majoring in jazz bass in the Faculty of Art of Shenzhen University, under the tutelage of Wang Xubo, held a special concert in the Concert Hall of Teachers College, Shenzhen University in 2017. In 2017, he was invited to participate in the performance of “Beautiful Sunday” in Shenzhen Concert Hall. In 2018, he was invited by Zhuhai King Jazz to hold an exchange concert with the teachers and students of King Jazz. On January 1, 2019, he participated in the Southern Science and Technology Welcome New Year’s party, on August 16, 2019, invited to perform at JZ CLUB in Guangzhou.

An oboe teacher at the Middle School Attached to Xinghai Conservatory of Music , graduated from the Central Conservatory of Music with an undergraduate and postgraduate degree. He learned piano at the age of 5, learned the oboe with his father at the age of 10, and went to Malaysia to perform with the Guangzhou Little Angel Symphony Orchestra at the age of 12, performing oboe solo “Shepherd Girl” for the emperor and his wife. In 2003, he studied in the Orchestral Department of the Central Conservatory of Music, where he studied under Professor Bai Yu, a famous Chinese oboe educator.

In 2005, he won the champion of the oboe group in the National Woodwind Solo Competition. He has held oboe solo concerts and lectures all over the country, and served as a solo guest at several China Oboe Art Festivals. Principal, and performed with the Central Opera House Orchestra and the Guangzhou Symphony Orchestra many times. Started learning the blues harmonica in 2013, and won the championship in the blues harmonica competition of the Asia-Pacific Harmonica Festival in 2014. In 2014, he began to learn the chromatic harmonica. In 2017, he won the runner-up in the chromatic harmonica competition of the World Harmonica Festival, which is the highest honor achieved by mainland harmonica players in international competitions. In 2018, he participated in the National Jazz Competition and won the third place in the individual group. He is the only harmonica contestant in the competition. In 2021, he will participate in the performance of the World Harmonica Festival held every four years in Germany. He will record harmonica soundtracks for many film and television works and singers. In 2020, he will start a national tour of harmonica solo performances, including Shanghai Oriental Art Center, Qingdao Haitian Grand Theater, Changsha Concert Hall, Zhongshan Cultural and Art Center, Jiangmen Cultural Center, Guangzhou Grand Theater, Yiwu Grand Theater, Chongqing Grand Theater, Kunming Theater, Zhuhai Huafa Zhongyan Grand Theater, Wuhan Qintai Concert Hall.

In 2008, New York native saxophonist and composer Jo Jo Ma came to Taiwan via Chicago. As a result, the Jo Jo Ma Quartet became an important part of Taipei’s emerging jazz scene, appearing regularly at Safford’s Bass, one of Taipei’s best jazz clubs. Jo Jo opened stores in Bangkok, Hong Kong and Beijing before settling in Xiaojingwan, China, which is near Shenzhen and across the sea from Hong Kong. “He brings a new and original style of jazz influenced by Miles Davis, Wayne Shorter, Horace Silver, John Coltrane and others…” His music will take you to the most unexpected places place. As one of the founding members of the Opportunity Ensemble in Austin, Texas, Jo Jo Ma has created many creative works for large jazz ensembles, which have been well received. He has collaborated with musicians such as Von Freeman, Claudio Roditi, Jimmy Carl Black, Steve Coleman, Ira Sullivan, Lou Tabakin, Dick Oats, Ed Shaughnessy, David Amram, Alex Coke, Dr. James Polk, Sabertooth, Frederick Sanders and many more. As a bandleader, his own trio, quartet, and quintet open and share on different stages.

Sam, a new generation of jazz piano, has studied under the famous Chinese jazz pianist Huang Jianyi, jazz saxophonist Alec Haavik, and jazz guitarist Gu Zhongshan. He has rich jazz performance experience and stage experience. Music groups have had wonderful cooperation and exchanges. For example, John Chin, a pianist who won a Grammy-nominated album and is active in the New York jazz scene, Jerome Jennings, the resident director of the Juilliard Jazz Orchestra, a member of the Christain Mcbride Trio, a member of the Roy Hargrove band, Bass player Barry Stephenson, and a pianist from Japan Tadataka Unno, New York Lincoln Center big band saxophonist Walter Blanding, etc., have been deeply influenced by jazz music and the atmosphere of the band for many years, and the musical language he plays is full of vitality and emotion.
