Pianist Wen Bochao graduated from Shenzhen University with a major in jazz piano performance. He studied under the famous Chinese jazz pianist Li Lin as the keyboard player of the TPS Quintet, a local jazz band in Shenzhen. During the five years of working in the industry, he has focused on jazz performance and creation, and has been active in major jazz and modern music stages.
Bassist Shao Xuan, a 2016 student majoring in jazz bass in the Faculty of Art of Shenzhen University, under the tutelage of Wang Xubo, held a special concert in the Concert Hall of Teachers College, Shenzhen University in 2017. In 2017, he was invited to participate in the performance of “Beautiful Sunday” in Shenzhen Concert Hall. In 2018, he was invited by Zhuhai King Jazz to hold an exchange concert with the teachers and students of King Jazz. On January 1, 2019, he participated in the Southern Science and Technology Welcome New Year’s party, on August 16, 2019, invited to perform at JZ CLUB in Guangzhou.

Active in local Jazz scenes such as Upstairs Jazz bar, Le basement, Bar boss’s, and Bar bossa in the United States. The jazz musicians who have cooperated include Ira Coleman, Frank Lozano, Dave Watts, and Jim Doxas.

He started playing drums at an early age, under the tutelage of Zhang Ming, the drummer of the Dada Band, and Zhao Lang, a teacher at the MI Conservatory of Music in the United States, and then studied traditional jazz with Neal Smith and contemporary jazz with Noah Preminger. Has an in-depth study of Brian Blade’s playing techniques.
After graduating from the Conservatory of Music, he began to study jazz in depth. The recorded performance videos received praise and encouragement from jazz musicians such as Ben Wendel, Gilad Hekselman, Kenny Barron, Herbie Hancock, and Steve Jordan on ins and YouTube. In 2022, he will be admitted to Prince Claus Conservatory of Music, NEC, Longy Conservatory of Music, and New York City College, and will receive a half scholarship from NEC and a two-thirds scholarship from Longy Conservatory of Music.
He has performed at Shenzhen Fringe Music Festival, Chengdu Jazz Festival, Shenzhen Percussion Music Festival, Shenzhen Concert Hall, etc. He performed charity performances in solidarity with Afghan refugees with the symphony orchestra at Cambridge first church in Boston, and performed his own works on behalf of the school many times.
