Pianist Wen Bochao
 graduated from Shenzhen University with a major in jazz piano performance. He studied under the famous Chinese jazz pianist Li Lin as the keyboard player of the TPS Quintet, a local jazz band in Shenzhen. During the five years of working in the industry, he has focused on jazz performance and creation, and has been active in major jazz and modern music stages.

Bassist Shao Xuan, a 2016 student majoring in jazz bass in the Faculty of Art of Shenzhen University, under the tutelage of Wang Xubo, held a special concert in the Concert Hall of Teachers College, Shenzhen University in 2017. In 2017, he was invited to participate in the performance of “Beautiful Sunday” in Shenzhen Concert Hall. In 2018, he was invited by Zhuhai King Jazz to hold an exchange concert with the teachers and students of King Jazz. On January 1, 2019, he participated in the Southern Science and Technology Welcome New Year’s party, on August 16, 2019, invited to perform at JZ CLUB in Guangzhou.

Lin Zecheng is a jazz saxophone and flute player from Macau, and the spokesperson of the Japanese saxophone brand -Forestone. He graduated from the Royal Academy of Music in The Hague, the Netherlands , with a master’s degree in jazz saxophone performance. During his studies, he was awarded the “Netherlands Excellence Full Scholarship” and graduated with the honor of “Excellence”. He served as the principal saxophonist of the college jazz band for three years from his senior year to his master’s degree. Under the tutelage of Xu Kui, GregLyons, John Ruocco, PericoSambeat and Chris Cheek. Ze Cheng is a well-rounded musician, his performance spans a variety of different genres, from classical, jazz to Latin and so on. Influenced by great jazz saxophonists Michael Brecker, Joe Hederson, etc., his music is expressive, dramatic and has a sensual side.

He is now active in performance venues in Macau and surrounding cities, and has participated in music festivals in Guangdong, Hong Kong and Macau. His performances have spread all over Western Europe, Southeast Asia, Mainland China, Hong Kong, Macao and Taiwan. On the international stage, he has worked with Alex Sipiagin, Eric Alexander, Vincent Herring, Stefan Karlsson, Zé Eduardo, Steve Thornton, Alan Kwan, Patrick Lui, Lin Chang, Cai Jian, Zeng Dekang, Nie Xin, Gong Shuoliang, Guangdong, Hong Kong and Macau Local jazz big band, Macao fusion band Soul Parole, Sneaky Panda, Dr.Jen and other musicians and bands performed together. He once formed the “New Lingnan Jazz Quartet” with Lin Chang, Miao Lei and Yu Dian, three jazz teachers from Guangzhou Xinghai Conservatory of Music, and released the album “Moving Courtyard” in 2019. Last year, he recorded his first solo album “Steps Forward” with the legendary Dutch drummer Eric Ineke, pianist Rob van Bavel, and Cyprus bassist Kyriacos Kesta, which will be released this year.

Studied at Berklee College of Music, under the tutelage of Casey Scheuerell and Tang Jianbo, a famous teacher in China. He has achieved many results in domestic competitions. In August 2015, he won the Open Group Championship of the Drumpetition Hong Kong Drummer Open. In October 2015, he was invited to become the opening drummer of the master Dave Weckl. He is good at Jazz, Funk, Gaspel. Influenced by masters such as Mike Michell, Aaron Spears, Buddy Rich and Marcus Gilmore.

In our understanding of jazz music, contemporary jazz is a general term for various permutations and combinations of mainstream jazz after the 1980s, and is developed based on traditional jazz, bop and free elements. Performers in this contemporary style have completely liberated the free charm of jazz, no longer follow the rules as before, but handle music in a more open, diverse and free way.

The music played in this performance comes from the original contemporary works of Pat Metheny, Chick Corea, Wayne Shorter and band members, which will bring you a new experience different from traditional jazz.

Saxophone player Zhu Zexu was born in Kobe, Japan and started learning saxophone at the age of eight. In 2014, he began to study at Berklee College of Music. Since 2016, he has studied Bebop style with pianist Barry Harris. In 2019, he moved to New York and transferred to William Paterson University. In the past five years, he has played all over China, Japan and the United States. He has cooperated with musicians including Kim Clarke, Wayne Escoffery and Hiroyuki Tsutsui. Graduated in 2022 and moved to Guangdong.

Pianist Wang Xiaoyu jazz pianist. Started to learn piano at the age of 7, and started to learn jazz in 2016. He studied with Hungarian jazz pianist Zoltan Szigeti and American jazz pianist Mr. Liu Chuangye. He is good at playing bebop, Latin and other jazz styles. He has been active in jazz music all over China for the past two years on site.
